Vice-Rector Participated in the fem.STEM 2025 Conference
The Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation at Slobomir P University Banja Luka, Professor Slobodanka Pavlović, PhD, participated in the fem.STEM 2025 conference held in Bihać, jointly organized for the second time by the “United Women” Association and the University of Bihać.
The conference brought together women from the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) under the inspiring motto “From Knowledge to Global Impact” – a reminder that knowledge is not merely a goal, but a driving force capable of changing the world.
The conference aimed to enable women who have achieved success in STEM fields to demonstrate to young women and girls, through their stories, experiences, and accomplishments, that both science and leadership are spaces of equal opportunity. As emphasized during the presentations, the promotion of STEAM must begin in primary and secondary schools in order to introduce these professions to future female students and break down prejudices about “male” and “female” professions.
On the panel “Women’s Leadership in Science,” our professor spoke about the importance of knowledge, dedication, perseverance, support, and responsibility, as well as faith in oneself and one’s own abilities – about the fact that limits exist only if we impose them ourselves. Her words, filled with experience and inspiration, reminded the audience that success does not come overnight, but it does come to all who believe, work hard, and persevere. The panels and discussions were emotional, educational, and inspirational, imbued with powerful messages that encourage young women to dare to dream and follow the path of science with the same passion as the generations before them.
We extend our gratitude to the United Women Association and the University of Bihać for the invitation and for recognizing our faculty members as role models and inspiration for young people.
