Ceremonial Reception for First-Year Students and Rector’s Opening Address

On October 1, 2025, Slobomir P University Banja Luka held a ceremonial reception for first-year students, marking the beginning of the new academic year. The Rector of the University, Professor Slobodan Župljanin, PhD, addressed the first-year students in an opening session, emphasizing the importance of knowledge, dedication, and unity in achieving personal and professional goals.

“Our goal is for you to acquire relevant knowledge and skills during your studies that will enable you to create ambitious plans and achieve great goals. Therefore, every day, together with my faculty colleagues and associates, we work to ensure that upon completion of your studies, you will hold a diploma that represents significant effort and work, contemporary knowledge and skills, as well as the abilities and competencies demanded by the modern labor market. Together, we will strive to make your diploma the best guarantee for your future,” the Rector stated.

During his address, the Rector encouraged students to be curious, persistent, and open to new experiences, and to take advantage of all the opportunities the University offers through teaching, projects, and research activities.

He wished current students successful continuation of their studies, while thanking new students for their trust and wishing them much success in their academic pursuits and personal development.

The ceremonial reception took place in a pleasant and inspiring atmosphere, with the message that the doors of Slobomir P University are always open to all who wish to learn, advance, and together create a better tomorrow.
