Tradition and Institutional Development
Slobomir P University was established in 2003 as the first private university in this region. Over more than two decades of sustained operation, the University has evolved into a respected institution of higher learning, recognised for its academic rigour, innovation, and commitment to student success.
In recent years, the University successfully completed the reaccreditation process, thereby affirming the quality and relevance of its educational and research activities. Throughout its history, the University has educated numerous cohorts of professionals equipped to respond to the rapid technological, social, and economic transformations characteristic of the contemporary era.

In 2025, the University underwent significant organisational, structural, and ownership changes, including the relocation of its headquarters to Banja Luka and the integration of the Faculty of Security and Protection Banja Luka as its seventh organisational unit. All changes were implemented in accordance with legal requirements and officially registered with the District Commercial Court in Banja Luka in May 2025, establishing a robust foundation for the University’s continued development and advancement.
