Quality assurance of the work and studies delivered by the University and the faculties and academies comprising the University is an integral part of national quality assurance and a prerequisite for the comparability of diplomas and qualifications within the unified European Higher Education Area.
The objective of establishing an institutional quality assurance system is to determine quality standards for work and regulate mechanisms and procedures for management, monitoring, evaluation, improvement, and development of quality, as well as to develop policy and organizational culture in the performance of all University activities.
Priority areas in which quality is assured, provided, enhanced, and controlled are:
· quality of study programs,
· quality of the teaching process,
· quality of scientific-research and professional work,
· quality of teaching staff and associates,
· quality of students,
· quality of textbooks, literature, library and information resources,
· quality of higher education institution management and quality of non-teaching support,
· quality of facilities and equipment,
· quality of financing,
· role of students in self-evaluation and quality verification,
· systematic monitoring and periodic quality verification,
· transparency in operations.
The University Quality Assurance Commission is a professional body concerned with the development, improvement, and monitoring of the quality system within the higher education institution. Its role is to ensure that all processes – from teaching and scientific-research work to administrative and student activities – comply with quality standards prescribed by law, internal acts, and international guidelines.
The Commission participates in the development and monitoring of the quality strategy, conducts self-evaluation and external evaluation, analyzes survey and evaluation results, and provides recommendations for improvement of the teaching process and the work of the institution as a whole. Through its activities, the Commission contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality of study programs and working conditions, as well as to the development of a quality culture at the institutional level.
